Adema is an American rock band originating from Bakersfield, California, formed in 2000. The band’s current lineup consists of original band members, Lead Vocals/Lead Guitarist Tim Fluckey, Rhythm Guitarist Mike Ransom, Bassist Dave DeRoo, and Drummer Kris Kohls.
Adema rose to prominence with the release of their self-titled debut album Adema, on Arista Records which garnered the band an RIAA Certified Gold Record in 2001.
During Adema’s certified gold record cycle, they earned a slot on main-stage Ozzfest 2002, as well as performed with Linkin Park on their Projekt Revolution tour.
The band continued to tour and record music, after their self-titled studio album in 2001, they released Insomniac’s Dream (EP in 2002); Unstable (2003); Planets (2005); Kill The Headlights (2007); Topple The Giants (EP in 2013). In 2024, the band signed a record deal with Cleopatra Records.
Guitarist Mike Ransom along with his signature guitar sound brings a strong technical expertise in audio and mix engineering, has taken on the role of record producer for the new record, Cruel Machine, due to be released in 2026, with engineer Sevo Navajas. Mike also was a member of Scum of the Earth with Rob Zombie guitarist Mike Riggs.
Lead singer and guitarist Tim Fluckey is known for blending aggressive riffs with melodic and cinematic textures. Fluckey continues to be a sonic architect and driving force.
Drummer Kris Kohls has developed his unique style of drumming during his career, and has appeared in Modern Drummer magazine and many others with articles relating to drum techniques. Founding member of Videodrone and also appeared on Brides of Destruction debut album with Nikki Sixx and Tracii Guns. He has logged 4 professional fights in MMA and has a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
Bassist Dave DeRoo is recognized for his role in defining the band’s bass-heavy, melodic, and gritty, down-tuned sound. He brings a distinctive presence amid the group’s high-energy performances. Dave was also a founding member of the band Sexart, instrumental in origins of Nu-Metal.
In support of their new material, Adema is undertaking an extensive 2026 world tour. The band’s tour includes dates across North America, Europe, and the United Kingdom, with scheduled performances in multiple countries and cities throughout the year.
